UCLA's plasma physics group can be found in UCLA's new Physics and Astronomy Building (above). The CMPD will fund research at the Basic Plasma Science Facility, the Plasma Science and Technology Institute, and of course in the physics department itself. The Plasma Simulation Group at UCLA is well-known for excellence, and will play a central role in the CMPD.

UCLA's Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics will host some CMPD activities, including our first west-coast workshop on multiscale fusion physics.
