Abstract
Students are numerically and analytically investigating a variety of
projects related to mixing and dissipation in linear advection-diffusion
equations and kinetic theory as well as nonlinear stability questions
for the 2D Navier-Stokes equations and the mean-field Kuramoto model.
Acknowledgments
We would like to acknowledge the University of Maryland supercomputing resources
made available for conducting the
research. We are specifically using resources available on the
Deepthought2 cluster. I would also like to acknowledge the Sloan
foundation for providing some funding related to the research.
