NUFFT, Discontinuous Fast Fourier Transform, and Some Applications
Dr. Qing Liu
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University

Abstract:
Over the last decade, there have been significant interests in the development
of fast Fourier transform algorithms for nonuniformly sampled data because of
many practical applications. In this talk, I will review our work on the
nonuniform fast Fourier transform (NUFFT) and discontinuous fast Fourier
transform for singular functions. I will then present some applications in the
numerical solution of wave equations and in subsurface and biomedical image
reconstruction.
